After-School hours record high frequency of accidents

In terms of safety on the road, many parents dread the late night hours, but actually the after-school hours, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. show a high frequency of accidents.

Traffic increases around this time and with more cars on the road, more attention needs to be paid. Avoiding distractions such as cell phones and CD players can help keep drivers more aware of the road.

Graduation Time…Hats Off!

Winter driving presents difficult road conditions and shows an increase in the number of accidents, but guess what other month shows an increase? May -- graduation time.

Graduation is an exciting time for any teen and with that newfound freedom some teens drive with less caution on the road. But with such a bright future on the horizon after high school, teens should remain conscientious drivers to be sure they reach that future safely.

How can you help your teen drive safely on the road?

Practice driving with your teen and lead by example.

Then when it’s their turn behind the wheel they will have learned from the best!
